Introduction


The course will enable learners to unfold the concept of a curriculum and examine the various elements that combine to form a curriculum. It will also help participants to specifically analyze course design principles and view it as a key ingredient in pedagogical success. Beginning from a needs analysis of learners and context to framing learning objectives and outcomes, planning a syllabus, designing course structure, framing scheme of studies will be key processes that will come under discussion. The course will also relate course design with essential and innovative assessment techniques to fulfil course objectives. The course will culminate in an academic course development that will help engage learners and improve their learning experiences.
