Early Years’ schooling plays a fundamental role in setting the standards for learning and development for children. There are three major pillars of learning that need a concentrated focus in early years’ curriculum: literacy and numeracy development, physical development and personal, social, emotional development. Moreover, the early years’ curriculum needs to provide opportunities for children to understand the world around them through creative and thoughtful connections between classroom and the real world. Making children inquisitive, critical thinkers, expressive and able bodied communicators are other important elements that need substantial space in the curriculum. The course will give an enriching experience to early years’ educators through focused discussions on the mentioned aspects.
